Sisu Therapies is an allied health service that specialises in the mental health needs of young people and their families.
Our goal at Sisu Therapies is to provide holistic, client centered, collaborative therapy for our families.
Sisu Therapies is passionate about providing holistic, evidence-based, client-centered mental health services.
Our therapists are able to provide sessions through NDIS plans, under the Better Access Mental Health Plans, Private Health and self funded.
In addition to our psychological counselling sessions, we are also able to provide Assessment services. This includes functional capacity assessments for psychosocial disabilities for young people.
Additionally, we are able to undertake sensory assessments and some psychological testing.
Whilst our occupational therapists specialise in mental health, we still provides traditional paediatric occupational therapy services. For young people aged 3 to 25, particularly those who are neurodivergent, developmental difficulties often interplay with social and emotional difficulties experienced by young people. She also offers perinatal mental health services for children under 3 years old. Hannah is passionate about ensuring these clients don't fall through the gaps, particularly when they don't fit the criteria for traditional "developmental or "mental health" services.
We're excited to be running more group therapy programs throughout the term and school holidays!
If you'd like to know more about any of our programs, or to refer a young person, please don't hesitate to get in contact with us!
We’re so exited here to announce our next community project… LUNCH AND LEARN!
On the first Tuesday of every month, from 12-1pm, we’ll be providing free professional development and community education, that is accessible to all. These sessions will focus on developmental and mental health with future topics being guided by community input.
To ensure accessibility for everyone, including those who are located in regional or rural towns, we plan on webcasting these sessions live with a recording available afterwards.
Community and continuing education is a passion for us here at Sisu Therapies so we can’t wait to share this with you all! Please feel free to pass along to other colleagues you know as well and get in touch with any questions or requests.
