Hannah started Sisu Therapies in her backyard in 2019. Not content with going at it alone, her passion for creating inclusive and meaningful therapeutic experiences led her to grow Sisu Therapies into what it is today.
Hannah has been practising as a Mental Health Occupational Therapist for 15 years, specialising in supporting children, adolescents, and young people with mental health and developmental challenges.
Hannah takes a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach, ensuring that each client’s individuality and lived experience are recognised and celebrated. She is skilled in CBT, ACT, and DBT, and has also completed advanced training in art therapy, play therapy, children’s yoga, and family therapy. She often incorporates sensory-based interventions into her work and partners with her therapy dogs, Hugo and Gaston, to foster comfort, connection, and joy within sessions.
She is also a MindOut Champion with the LGBTQIA+ Health Network and actively fosters an affirming and celebratory space for LGBTQIA+ young people and families. Hannah has led initiatives such as Loud and Proud and delivered free professional development workshops aimed at improving mental health outcomes for the LGBTQIA+ community.
In her leadership role, Hannah oversees Sisu’s therapy programs and supports her team to deliver tailored, evidence-informed care in a warm and welcoming environment. She is also involved in wider community and systemic advocacy, including promoting inclusive classrooms, developing neurodiversity-affirming resources, and contributing to national discussions on NDIS reform and access to allied health services.
Her vision for Sisu Therapies is to continue building a social enterprise grounded in creativity, collaboration, and compassion. These values guide her work with clients, her leadership of the Sisu team, and her broader contribution to the community.

Megan is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with a professional background spanning both community paediatrics and mental health services. She is deeply committed to supporting children, adolescents, and young people who are experiencing mental health challenges. She works alongside them to strengthen wellbeing, increase independence, and engage more fully in meaningful daily activities.
Megan takes a neuro-affirming and person-centred approach, ensuring that each client’s individuality, values, and strengths are respected and celebrated throughout therapy. She places a strong emphasis on collaboration with clients and their families, recognising that the best outcomes occur when therapy is a shared and empowering process.
Her sessions are designed to be both engaging and enjoyable, with creativity at the heart of her practice. Megan incorporates play, interests, and flexible strategies into her interventions, making therapy feel safe, relevant, and effective. She is particularly passionate about helping young people develop personalised strategies to manage challenges, build resilience, and foster a sense of achievement in their everyday lives.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Megan is able to accept referrals under Better Access Mental Health Plans, allowing eligible clients to access Medicare rebates for their sessions. This provides families with greater accessibility to the supports they need.
Beyond her professional role, Megan enjoys caring for her growing collection of indoor plants and spending time with her much-loved dog, Oreo.

Dani’s passion for building genuine connections and supporting children, young people, and adults experiencing mental health challenges is at the heart of her practice as an Occupational Therapist. She has worked across youth mental health services and private practice, with a strong focus on supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents, and recently diagnosed adults.
She is committed to helping people engage in meaningful and purposeful activities that foster fulfilment, confidence, and wellbeing. Dani embraces a neuro-affirming approach, drawing on each client’s unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives within the therapeutic relationship. She meets clients where they are at and believes it is important that the therapeutic relationship feels safe, authentic, and collaborative.
Dani enjoys working with people to build life skills, manage the overlap of neurodivergence and mental health, come to terms with a neurodivergent diagnosis or explore neurodivergence, and navigate occupational roles such as being a new parent. She also works with adults to support healthy sexuality and relationships. Dani values creativity and flexibility in therapy, adapting strategies to meet the individual needs of each client and ensuring that sessions are engaging, collaborative, and relevant to their daily lives.
Dani is currently working with her cocker spaniel puppy as she trains him to become a therapy dog. You will often see her golden boy, Goose, sneaking out into the waiting room for client cuddles.
Warm, compassionate, and client-focused, Dani provides care that is both professional and deeply personalised. She is also able to accept referrals and provide rebates under Better Access Mental Health Plans, making her support accessible to more families and young people seeking care.
Outside of work, Dani enjoys spending time with friends and family, scrapbooking, lifting weights at the gym, and attempting to keep house plants alive.

Hugo is a cheeky French Bulldog who does not mind disrupting important meetings and therapy sessions to ask for pats and hugs, and to shed his fur all over everyone.
Hugo is the quintessential Frenchie. Intelligent, albeit stubborn, easy-going, affectionate, and adorable, he is a key member of the Sisu therapy team.

Gaston has been labelled the most “enthusiastic” member of our team. While he has definitely chilled out a little over his years of practice, he still loves to run to the door to greet everyone.
That being said, his energy strikes a lovely balance and contrast, happily playing with young people while also providing a comforting cuddle when needed. Gaston loves everyone and is always incredibly excited when he has new friends to play with.
