Hannah is an experienced Occupational Therapist with over 14 years of practice, specialising in supporting children, adolescents, and young people with mental health and developmental challenges. As Clinical Director of Sisu Therapies, she is passionate about creating inclusive and meaningful therapeutic experiences that empower clients to grow and thrive.

Hannah takes a neuro-affirming, strengths-based approach, ensuring that each client’s individuality and lived experience are recognised and celebrated. She is skilled in CBT, ACT, and DBT, and has also completed advanced training in art therapy, play therapy, and children’s yoga. She often incorporates sensory-based interventions into her work and partners with her therapy dogs, Hugo and Gaston, to foster comfort, connection, and joy within sessions.

She is also a MindOut Champion with the LGBTQIA+ Health Network, actively fostering an affirming and celebratory space for LGBTQIA+ young people and families. Hannah has led initiatives such as Loud and Proud and delivered free professional development workshops to improve mental health outcomes for the LGBTQIA+ community.

In her leadership role, Hannah oversees Sisu’s therapy programs, supporting her team to deliver tailored, evidence-informed care in a warm and welcoming environment. She is also involved in wider community and systemic advocacy, from promoting inclusive classrooms and developing neurodiversity-affirming resources to contributing to national discussions on NDIS reform and access to allied health services.

Her vision for Sisu Therapies is to continue building a social enterprise grounded in creativity, collaboration, and compassion — values that guide her work with clients, her leadership of the Sisu team, and her broader contribution to the community.

Megan is a highly experienced Occupational Therapist with a professional background spanning both community paediatrics and mental health services. She is deeply committed to supporting children, adolescents, and young people who are experiencing mental health challenges, working alongside them to strengthen wellbeing, increase independence, and engage more fully in meaningful daily activities.

Megan takes a neuro-affirming and person-centred approach, ensuring that each client’s individuality, values, and strengths are respected and celebrated throughout therapy. She places strong emphasis on collaboration with clients and their families, recognising that the best outcomes occur when therapy is a shared and empowering process.

Her sessions are designed to be both engaging and enjoyable, with creativity at the heart of her practice. Megan incorporates play, interests, and flexible strategies into her interventions, making therapy feel safe, relevant, and effective. She is particularly passionate about helping young people develop personalised strategies to manage challenges, build resilience, and foster a sense of achievement in their everyday lives.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Megan is able to accept referrals under Better Access Mental Health Plans, allowing eligible clients to access Medicare rebates for their sessions. This provides families with greater accessibility to the supports they need.

Beyond her professional role, Megan enjoys caring for her growing collection of indoor plants and spending time with her much-loved dog, Oreo.

Dani is an experienced Occupational Therapist with a passion for building genuine connections and supporting children, young people and adults experiencing mental health challenges. She has worked across youth mental health services and private practice, with a strong focus on supporting neurodivergent children, adolescents and recently diagnosed adults.

She is committed to helping people engage in meaningful and purposeful activities that foster fulfilment, confidence, and wellbeing. Dani embraces a neuro-affirming approach, drawing on each client’s unique strengths, experiences, and perspectives within the therapeutic relationship. Dani meets clients where they are at and feels that it is important that clients feel that the therapeutic relationship is safe, authentic and collaborative.

Dani loves working with people building life skills, managing the overlap of neurodivergence and mental health, coming to terms with a neurodivergent diagnosis or exploring neurodivergence, occupational roles particularly managing being a new parent, and working with adults to support healthy sexuality and relationships. Dani values creativity and flexibility in therapy, adapting strategies to meet the individual needs of each client and ensuring that sessions are engaging, collaborative, and relevant to their daily lives.

Dani is currently working with her cocker spaniel puppy to train him up as a therapy dog. You’ll often see her golden boy, Goose, sneaking out into the waiting room for client cuddles.

Warm, compassionate, and client-focused, Dani provides care that is both professional and deeply personalised. She is also able to accept referrals and provide rebates under Better Access Mental Health Plans, making her support accessible to more families and young people seeking care.

Outside of work, Dani enjoys spending time with friends and family, scrapbooking, lifting weights at the gym and attempting to keep house plants alive.

Hugo

Gaston

Gaston

Hugo is passionate about ensuring all who come to Sisu feel comfortable and help to break down barriers to therapy.

Hugo is a cheeky French Bulldog who doesn't mind disrupting important meetings and therapy sessions to ask for pats and hugs.

Hugo is the quintessential Frenchie. Intelligent (albeit stubborn), easygoing, affectionate and adorable and a key member of the Sisu therapy team.

Gaston

Gaston

Gaston

Gaston has been labelled the most "enthusiastic" of our team! Being a bit younger than Hugo, Gaston is still learning the ropes of being a therapy dog. That being said, he strikes a nice balance of playing with the young people and providing a comforting cuddle when needed. He loves everyone and is always so excited when he has new friends to play with!
